Planning a celebratory event is not only exciting but also intimidating. You want everything to be as you imagined, but there are so many decisions to make, so many details to cover and usually, it seems, so little time to do it all. For example, if it’s a cocktail party you are planning, the quantity of food can depend on the duration of the get together. It’s also important to decide where you want to allocate the bulk of your budget. Is it the food? The venue? The entertainment? This is where we come in. Whether you are planning to host an intimate cocktail party for 12, or undertaking the task of planning something as meaningful and important as your wedding; we have the resources, great ideas and the long standing experience to make your event vision a reality. We work one-on-one with you to cover all of the details. It all depends on your needs. We don’t have to just handle the food. We can also book your venue, recruit the entertainment and arrange the transportation for your guests. Think of us as your one stop fantastic event shop.
When / Timing:
Timing is always of the essence – especially if you intend to have your event at an outside venue. Many popular spots are booked months ahead of time. So if you have more guests than your home can handle, or you just want to keep the chaos at bay, you need to plan far enough in advance to book your ideal venue. We recommend giving yourself at least 6 weeks to look for and book your venue. Keep in mind that during the holiday seasons many venues have been booked even farther in advance. When it comes to weddings, churches can book 6 months to a year ahead of time, with April, May and October being the most popular wedding months of the year.
However, if you’re in a pinch, we work with the best venues in town and can always find a solution for your special event.
Where:
Choosing the location can depend on several variables. The guest count, your budget, and the type of event you are planning all factor into where to hold your soiree. In your home, you may have the entertaining space, but are a little short on kitchen resources. We can supply anything from extra serving utensils, to additional ovens and refrigeration systems. It all depends on the scale of your event.
Also, there are many solutions to extending your entertaining space at home. Tents are an ideal option for bringing the party outside. For years we have worked extensively with the best equipment vendors in town and can arrange for the perfect set up for you and your guests to kick back and enjoy the party.
Guest List:
When you decide who and how many you plan to invite and have a general budget idea, then we can start on the menu. For example, when it comes to cost, cocktail parties are generally a less expensive, yet just as fabulous, way to entertain than a seated dinner, However, there is more to consider than just cost. For example, who are your guests? Do they love to sit down and relish each and every morsel or is it a more social crowd, who like to nibble between cocktails and conversation? Also, consider what is your lifestyle, your personality? Many times our clients want their event to represent a little bit of who they are, their tastes and what they love. We have menus that span the imagination. Our classically trained chefs can provide traditional cuisine such as, carved tenderloin of beef. However, if you like to push the envelope, we have also created such amazing presentations as suspended sushi buffets. Your imagination is the limit.
Invitation:
Everyone wants to know not only the when and where, but also the why! Let your guest know the reason for this fantastic celebration. The invitations also tell guests what to wear and if they can bring a date. Additionally, invitations reflect the spirit or mood of the party – is it conservative black tie? Or are you planning a funky and casual soiree that will go well into the night. If you plan to script your own invitations, we can certainly guide you as to how to include all of the necessary details. Otherwise, we have great relationships with the best stationers in town. They know the latest trends and also the classics.
Flowers:
We all know how important the décor is to a great party! And we have planned events with unbelievable floral displays. The spectacular vendors we work with can provide traditional arrangements – timeless and classic in color and design. Or, they can create works of art that will take your guests breath away.
